Mitä tarkoittaa

Sana 'were' on englannin kielen verbi, joka on 'be'-verbistä johdettu muoto. Se on imperfektimuoto, joka käytetään monikossa ja toisen persoonan muodossa. 'Were' ilmenee usein menneissä lauseissa, joissa kuvataan tapahtumia tai tiloja, jotka olivat voimassa menneisyydessä.
