Mitä tarkoittaa

Sametti on yleisesti käytetty kangas, joka tunnetaan erityisestä pehmeästä ja tiheästä pinnastaan, joka syntyy kudonnassa. Sametti voi olla valmistettu eri materiaaleista, kuten puuvillasta, silkistä tai synteettisistä kuidusta, ja sitä käytetään laajasti vaatteissa, huonekaluissa ja sisustustekstiileissä. Sametin historia ulottuu vuosisatojen taakse, ja se on ollut suosittu materiaali erityisesti aristokraattisten ja ylellisten esineiden valmistuksessa. Samettia on kahta päätyyppiä: leikattu sametti, jossa nukka on leikattu lyhyeksi, ja leikattu ja leikattu sametti, jossa nukka on pidempi ja tiheämpi.
