Mitä tarkoittaa
Aivohalvaus, eli stroke, on äkillinen sairaus, joka johtuu aivojen verenkierron häiriöistä. Aivohalvauksia on kahdenlaisia: iskeeminen, joka johtuu verenkierron katkeamisesta, ja verenvuotoinen, joka johtuu verisuonen repeämisestä. Aivohalvauksen oireet voivat sisältää äkillistä puheen tai liikuntakyvyn heikkenemistä, kasvojen vääristymistä tai tajunnan häiriöitä.
