Mitä tarkoittaa
Pallo on geometrinen muoto, joka on määritelty kaikkiin suuntiin ulottuvana pinnana, joka on yhtä kaukana keskikohdastaan. Matemaattisesti pallo voidaan määritellä pisteiden joukko, joka sijaitsee tietyllä etäisyydellä (säde) keskikohdastaan. Pallon pinta-ala ja tilavuus voidaan laskea kaavojen avulla: pallon pinta-ala on 4?r² ja tilavuus on (4/3)?r³, missä r on pallon säde. Pallon muoto esiintyy luonnossa useissa konteksteissa, kuten taivaankappaleissa (esim. tähdet, kuut, planeetat) ja monissa biologisissa ja kemiallisissa rakenteissa.
