Mitä tarkoittaa

Schooner on erityinen purjealus, joka tunnetaan sen rakenteesta, jossa on kaksi tai useampia mastoja. Schoonerit ovat olleet käytössä jo 1700-luvulta lähtien, ja ne ovat erityisen suosittuja merimatkoilla ja kalastuksessa. Schoonerit voivat olla eri kokoisia, ja niiden purjeet on usein suunniteltu niin, että ne tarjoavat hyvän nopeuden ja manööverdokyvyn. Schoonerit ovat erityisiä myös siksi, että niiden purjeet on asennettu erityiseen järjestykseen, mikä mahdollistaa tehokkaan purjehtimisen erilaisissa sääolosuhteissa. Nykyään schoonerit ovat myös suosittuja purjehduskilpailuissa ja matkailuveneinä.
