    Owling on suosittu harrastus luontoharrastajien keskuudessa, erityisesti öisin.

Mitä tarkoittaa

Owling tarkoittaa käytännössä pöllöjen tarkkailemista tai tutkimista pimeällä, jolloin pöllöt ovat aktiivisimmillaan. Tämä aktiviteetti houkuttelee monia luontoa rakastavia ihmisiä, jotka haluavat nähdä ja oppia lisää näistä salaperäisistä linnuista. Owling vaatii usein erityistä varustusta, kuten hyviä kiikareita ja mahdollisesti myös äänityslaitteita pöllöjen kutsuäänten tallentamiseen. Tämän harrastuksen yhteydessä on tärkeää kunnioittaa pöllöjen elinympäristöä ja noudattaa luonnonsuojelun periaatteita.
