Mitä tarkoittaa
Drift tarkoittaa yleisesti ottaen liikettä tai siirtymistä, joka tapahtuu vähitellen ja usein tahattomasti. Termiä käytetään monilla eri aloilla, kuten fysiikassa, geologiassa ja autoilussa. Fysiikassa drift voi viitata hiukkasten tai kappaleiden liikkeeseen ulkoisten voimien vaikutuksesta. Geologiassa se voi viitata sedimenttien siirtymiseen tai jäämassojen liikkumiseen.
