Mitä tarkoittaa

Kortti on litteä, yleensä suorakaiteen muotoinen esine, joka voi olla valmistettu paperista, muovista tai muusta materiaalista. Kortteja käytetään monenlaisissa yhteyksissä, kuten peleissä (esim. pelikortit), maksuvälineinä (esim. luottokortit), henkilöllisyyden todistamisessa (esim. henkilökortit) tai tiedon esittämisessä (esim. käyntikortit). Korttien koko ja muoto voivat vaihdella käyttötarkoituksen mukaan. Pelikorteissa on usein symboleita ja numeroita, kun taas maksukorteissa on yleensä magneettijuova tai siru, joka mahdollistaa sähköiset maksut.
