Bitti (engl. bit) on informaatioteorian perusyksikkö, joka kuvaa digitaalisen tiedon pienintä mahdollista määrää. Se voi olla joko 0 tai 1, ja se on keskeinen käsite tietojenkäsittelyssä ja tietoliikenteessä. Bitit muodostavat suurempia yksiköitä, kuten tavuja (8 bittiä), ja niitä käytetään tiedon tallentamiseen, siirtämiseen ja käsittelyyn.
